What I learned from traveling the world

“The deepest principle in human nature is the craving to be appreciated.” It is something that seems so simple, yet its importance cannot be overstated. We all want to feel valued and recognized for the things we do, and I believe that this desire lies at the very core of what it means to be human. However, my experiences last year helped me come to realize that the power of community plays an absolutely essential role in fulfilling this need. Whether it’s your family, your friends, or a kind stranger passing by that decides to say hi, each holds the ability to provide us with a sense of bel

DJI Mavic 3 Pro | Unlock Your Aerial Creativity

DJI recently launched their Mavic 3 Pro and it has totally exceeded my expectations. Over three insane days of road-tripping across Southern California, I got to really push this drone and test its new tri-focal length camera system. The existing Hasselblad 24mm on this drone is already powerful and sharp, but its updated tele lenses are what really make it shine compared to any other option in the industry. It has a 3x-70mm and 7x-166mm camera which enhance the viewer's perception of space and distance by compressing a subject against the background giving you a lot more creative control. Th

A Day Rediscovering DTLA | RealMe C55

As a content creator, I’ve made it a goal in my lifestyle to constantly put myself in environments that facilitate growth. More importantly, to face difficult situations head-on and come out on the other side with a fresh perspective. So when RealMe reached out with the launch of their C55 series, I saw yet another awesome opportunity that would require me to be present in order to master their new phone’s photography capabilities. And what better way to do that than by spending a whole day shooting a bunch of iconic spots around DTLA that had been on my bucket list. - Thank you so much to

One Day or Day One

Recently, I was challenged by Sam Newton and the Vincero Collective to make a video featuring the talented photographer, Aaron Brimhall. For this specific edit, I had to be quite resourceful and efficient when getting it done since this was the first time I have ever completed an edit while traveling. Usually, it can be quite difficult for me to get into the proper headspace to do complex editing when I am in such a dynamic work setting. However, I enjoyed the double challenge of putting myself outside of my comfort zone while simultaneously delivering a quality video. As Aaron put it, "Show

REIMAGINE | Cinematic Short Film #ColorProShineBrightly

I was challenged by The ColorPro Film Festival to make a 1 min 20-second video connected to the overarching theme of "Shine Brightly." There were three sub-themes each judged by a talented creator (@justkayy , @mikevisuals , and @SamNewton ) I specifically chose the prompt by Sam which was "Shattering Expectations." In my interpretation of the theme, I explored the idea of reimagining the expectations of yourself to see that you are capable of making a difference in the world even by yourself. Furthermore, I wanted to touch on the sensitive global topic of the war going on between Russia and

Ordinary World | TaylorCutFilms Editing Contest

I was challenged by Jordan Taylor to make a 1-minute edit with all the footage he provided. No prompt, just my own creative vision. I also used this as an opportunity to force myself to edit and color grade a full project in Davinci Resolve for the first time so I can finally leave Premiere Pro behind haha. Let me know what you guys think about the colors and if you have any advice. The grade probably could still use a little bit more work, but it's def a solid start. Song: Ordinary World by De Lune

21 Years of Evolution | MY YEAR 2021 x Kolder Creative

Four years ago, I watched my first video by Sam Kolder and was radically inspired. After bingeing a couple more of his videos I came to learn that what he was doing was an actual career. So in that moment, I told myself I wanted to do exactly that in life. Naively, I had absolutely no idea how to get there and what I was getting myself into. Needless to say, videography took me on a wild journey that not only exposed me to some amazing people and experiences but also changed me for the better. I became passionate, confident, and most of all proud of the individual I was growing to be. After ev

Sixty Seconds of MVMT Madness

After countless hours of work, I am beyond stoked to share this edit I produced for the Sam Kolder edition of MVMT’s Revolver collection. To clarify, I was not paid by MVMT to produce this video. This was simply a passion of project of mine inspired by my biggest role models such as Sam Kolder himself, Matt Komo, Rob Strok, Keane Luong, Mitchell Mulleis, Alex Broadstock, and Spencer Miller.

My Story - Kolder Creative 2021

Three years ago, I was inspired by Sam Kolder to begin this journey as a creative when I had watched his "Hawaii 2.0" video. Ever since then, I've been grinding day in and day out through hundreds of different videos slowing improving my skills as a creator so that one day I can make a name for myself in this industry. And when that day comes, I want to be able to impact the lives of individuals all around the world just like Sam did to mine. Hopefully, this video serves as a testament to who I am today and brings me one step closer to that dream. Enjoy! Follow the journey! https://www.insta
